What inspired you to get into fitness & training?
Growing up an athlete and living in a house with an older brother really opened my eyes to a competitive lifestyle. We were always outside and playing different sports. As I got older and high school was approaching, my brother Bobby, stressed the concept of being stronger to compete against older guys. I was heading to Don Bosco and Bobby was already there. He knew that strength training was something that I had to get into if I was going to compete at the prep level. I started training at a local gym in Harriman, NY and also in my basement with an old weight set. I didn’t know how to train but I just started. I did what I saw others in the gym doing and loved how I started to feel and saw my body change. I was hooked!
The older I got the more I worked out and I was able to reach higher levels. My commitment to basketball grew and that was my passion. I played ball and worked out. I was able to start varsity for 2 years and then earn the attention of some colleges. I played at the collegiate level and when I was done the weight room was there. Fitness has been a part of my life for a very long time. Its helped me set goals, reach goals, and pursue what makes me happy. The fact that it is my career is a true blessing and I am so grateful for the support and encouragement of my family and loved ones. I left a career as a Federal Agent to open the small training business I started out of my parents’ garage. It was a “Leap of faith” but I believed in my vision and knew I could help others.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
“Success is a Choice.”
What would you say to parents that are considering having their children train at B.E.A.T.?
My facility along with my coaching staff is a place for your children to grow and develop. They are encouraged to set goals and will have the full support of every coach. They will want to be there and the lessons they learn will stay with them throughout their lives. Our goal is to make health and fitness fun and impact each athlete in a positive way every time we are with them as well as on the playing field and in their lives.
